Dr Tahir-ul-Qadr protector of Pakistan’s ideology: Former Federal Minister Syed Sumsaam Bukhari

Naat and English speech competitions were held at Minhaj University on the second day. Former federal minister and senior PTI leader Syed Sumsaam Bukhari was the chief guest on the occasion, whereas senior MQI leaders, Brig. (r) Muhammad Iqbal, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Barrister Syed Waseem-ul-Hassan Naqvi, Mufti Abdul Qayyum Hazarvi and Dr Mumtaz-ul-Hassan Barvi were also present on the occasion.

Prof Dr Muhammad Islam, Prof Qurat-ul-Ain Fatima and Prof Mujeeb-ur-Rehman were the judges in the English speech contest. Al-Haaj Muhammad Akhtar Qureshi, Shahzad Nagi and Dr Sarwar Saddique were the members of the jury in the Naat competition.

Addressing the ceremony, Syed Sumsaam Ali Shah said that the political elite did not leave any stone unturned to delete Islamic and Pakistani identity from the curriculum taught in the educational institutions of the country. He said that Nawaz and Shahbaz Sharif have given the contract of ‘safeguarding’ the Pakistan ideology to a foreign NGO. He said that he is happy that MQI under the leadership of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri are active on the ideological front and the world is benefitting from their service.

PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that Pakistan came into being as a result of an ideology and its continued progress and prosperity is linked to the staying wedded to this ideology. He said that the spirit of Pakistan’s and Islamic ideology is the Holy Qurna and Sunna, whereas that of love for the Holy Prophet (SAW) lies in the belief regarding the finality of the prophethood. He said that Nawaz Sharif will be punished for tinkering with the belief about the finality of the prophethood to please his foreign masters.

Barrister Waseem-ul-Hassan Naqvi said on the occasion that Islam is a complete code of conduct vis-à-vis respect and sanctity of humanity. He said that Allah Almighty threw out Satan from His court for not extending respect to Adam and made him a metaphor of hatred till the Day of Judgment. He said that those who do not respect the humanity and violate the rights of others are in fact followers of Satan. He said that the disciples of Satan shed the blood of innocent people on June 17, 2014 in Model Town. He congratulated the organizers of the declamation contests for reviving the culture of competitions.

The honourable guests distributed shields and prizes among the position holders. Prior to this, Shahzad Rasool Qadri, Director Public Relations and Sabir Naqashbandi received the guests on their arrival at the MQI secretariat.
